Bio and Statement
I'm an Artist based out of Los Angeles, California, with roots in NYC. Undergraduate studies in all facets of fine art and graduate studies in design took me through over 14 years of work in those fields. I am dedicating my next phase in pursuing truth, passion and adventure.
I want to convey the complexities of emotional and mental states. Although I gain inspiration from my own memories - both jubilant and tragic - plus current experiences and spiritual reflections, the visceral human experience is universal. I also want to celebrate uniqueness through my work. Even though our human experience is the same, the way we respond is what makes us truly different from each other. I'm interested in bringing the outsider into my own unique psyche to explore the commonality and be deeply connected in a way that would not have been possible otherwise.
I feel most expressive when working in sculptural forms or when bringing in elements where I can work as physically connected to the canvases I possibly can through my fingers. I love the beauty in imbalance, dimension, texture, color, shadow and light.
